Su-33 Camouflage and Markings

Note that no two Su-33s are exactly the same!
The following drawings were carefully researched and show the camouflage and markings locations of each of these three airframes. At a glance the difference in the camouflage is obvious, but carefully compare the drawings and you will see small differences in the placement of the markings, the trim on the sides of the nose, metal and dielectric panels and many more small details.

Paint and decal recommendations

There seems to be some debate over which paints are more accurate between AKAN, Mr. Paint and Hataka. Unfortunately, on all of the best builds I’ve seen, the modelers adjusted the colors so I’m not sure which
of these paints might be the most accurate.

When it comes to decals I’d recommend Begemot.
They have two Su-33 decal sheets, one for early Sea Flanker schemes (48-007 which includes Bort 80 above) and one for current schemes (48-051 Su-33 in Syria) which could be used to do the other schemes above.
They also offer a very complete set of stencils for the Su-27 (48-009 Su-27 stencil) which includes decals and instructions for the Su-33.
Disregard the stencils on the images above and go with the better researched Begemot ones.
